Dolce & Gabbana is an Italian fashion house. Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana started it. The company is based in Milan, Italy. Its designs are worn by celebrities like Madonna, Monica Bellucci, Christina Aguilera, Kylie Minogue, and Isabella Rossellini among others. Before starting the company, Dolce and Gabbana did freelance designing for others. They won international acclaim for the first time in 1986 when they presented an independent women’s ready-to-wear show. The brand soon expanded to include knitwear, beachwear, lingerie, and men’s wear. Signature perfume products also followed. The first boutiques were opened in Tokyo, Milan, and Hong Kong. In 2006, the company opened their first restaurant in Milan.
